Templeogue Garden Makeover
This neglected unused back garden required to be brought back to life. To make this garden usable again, it was divided in various areas. At floor level off the living room, a deck was constructed using a composite decking, long enough for a table and six chairs, plus a garden-swinging seat for two, and various planted containers. Raised beds were placed on three sides filled with compost and topsoil, and planted with an array of shrubs. One corner was left for containers and another had a triangular pergola constructed to catch the last sun of the day. The open area was finished in gravel with travertine stepping-stones. Garden lights were installed, including deck lights, wall lights and up lights, which sets a mood and to make the evenings magical. An infrared patio heater was added near the table to take away the evening chill.
